Summary – Ecovacs Deebot N10 vs N8

If you do not wish to go through the entire article, then this is the section for you where I will be providing you with my recommendations.

Between the two models in question, i.e. the Deebot N8 and Deebot N10 – I would surely opt for this model. It is the newer model between the two and also has a much better cleaning performance.

However, if you have an additional budget, I strongly recommend you consider this third model by Ecovacs. It is better compared to both these models and provides you with greater ease of use. 1. Model Year:

Both the Ecovacs Deebot N10 and N8 belong to the same family of robot vacuums, but they come from different model years. The model year indicates when the particular version of the robot was released and often brings improvements and updates.

Ecovacs Deebot N8: I’ll start by discussing the Ecovacs Deebot N8, which was released earlier. As a slightly older model, it might lack some of the features and advancements found in newer versions. However, don’t underestimate its capabilities. The N8 may still provide efficient cleaning and smart navigation, making it a reliable choice for those on a budget.

Ecovacs Deebot N10: On the other hand, the Ecovacs Deebot N10 is a more recent addition to the lineup. Being a newer model, it is likely to come with upgraded features, improved technology, and possibly a more advanced cleaning algorithm. These enhancements could result in better performance, making your cleaning routine even more effortless.

2. Suction Capacity:

When selecting a robot vacuum, one of the critical aspects influencing its cleaning effectiveness is suction capacity. In this section, I’ll provide insights into how the Ecovacs Deebot N10 and N8 differ in terms of suction power, taking into account their specific suction capacity specifications.

Ecovacs Deebot N8: Let’s begin with the N8, which, despite being a slightly older model, boasts a commendable suction capacity of 2300 PA. This robust suction system is designed to efficiently lift dirt, debris, and pet hair from various surfaces. The N8’s suction power is well-suited for regular cleaning tasks, ensuring a consistently tidy home environment.

Ecovacs Deebot N10: Moving on to the N10, a newer model in the lineup, it stands out with an impressive 4300 PA suction capacity. This upgraded suction system signifies a substantial increase in power, potentially leading to a more thorough and efficient cleaning experience. The N10’s enhanced suction capacity is particularly advantageous for users with specific cleaning needs or high-traffic areas.

Key Differences:

  1. Suction Power: The most significant distinction lies in the suction power between the two models. The N10’s 4300 PA suction capacity surpasses the N8’s 2300 PA, indicating a considerable advancement in cleaning strength.
  2. Adaptability: The N10’s higher suction capacity might offer adaptive settings, automatically adjusting to different flooring types for optimal performance on carpets, hardwood, or tiles.
  3. Pet-Friendly Features: For households with pets, the N10’s increased suction power could make it more adept at handling pet hair and dander, providing an added benefit for pet owners.

3. Battery Capacity and Run Time:

When it comes to choosing a robot vacuum, another crucial aspect to consider is the battery capacity and run time. In this section, I’ll share my insights on how the Ecovacs Deebot N10 and N8 differ in these two important features.

Ecovacs Deebot N8: Starting with the N8, it’s equipped with a 3200 mAh battery, which provides a commendable run time of approximately 200 minutes. This means that the N8 can effectively clean for over three hours on a single charge. The N8’s battery capacity and run time make it suitable for handling regular cleaning tasks without frequent interruptions for recharging.

Ecovacs Deebot N10: Moving on to the N10, this newer model comes with an upgraded 5200 mAh battery, significantly surpassing the N8 in terms of capacity. The N10 boasts an extended run time of approximately 330 minutes, allowing for even longer cleaning sessions. The enhanced battery capacity and extended run time make the N10 well-suited for larger spaces or for users who prefer less frequent charging.

Key Differences:

  1. Battery Capacity: The N10’s 5200 mAh battery capacity is notably higher than the N8’s 3200 mAh, indicating an advancement in battery technology.
  2. Extended Run Time: The N10’s extended run time of 330 minutes provides a longer cleaning duration on a single charge compared to the N8’s 200 minutes. This is particularly beneficial for larger homes or for those who prefer a more thorough cleaning without frequent interruptions.
  3. Convenience: The N10’s superior battery capacity and extended run time contribute to a more convenient and efficient cleaning experience, reducing the need for frequent charging breaks during cleaning sessions.

4. Coverage Area:

An additional factor to consider is the coverage area. The N8 is designed for spaces up to 2000 sq ft, while the N10 is equipped to cover larger areas, reaching up to 4000 sq ft. This could be a crucial consideration for users with expansive living spaces.

Better Model to Deebot N10?

At the beginning of the article, I suggested that there is a better model compared even to the Ecovacs Deebot N10 and that model is the upgraded ECOVACS Deebot N10 Plus.

It comes with an additional Auto Empty Station. This means that once your Deebot is done vacuuming your home, it will attach itself to this station and empty all the dust collected. This gives you almost a hand-free operation of up to 8 weeks (Depending upon how big your home is and how dusty your home gets daily).

In conclusion:

The choice between the Ecovacs Deebot N10 and N8 ultimately boils down to individual preferences, cleaning needs, and budget constraints. If cutting-edge technology and superior suction power are a priority, the N10 is a clear winner.

However, the N8 still holds its ground as a dependable, cost-effective option, especially for those with smaller living spaces. Consider your specific requirements, whether it’s advanced features, extended cleaning sessions, or coverage area, to make an informed decision that aligns with your cleaning expectations.
